One critical, but sometimes overlooked, function of an online business is resource management. Though AIT provides generous allotments of disk space and data transfer, things happen: your site gets an unanticipated traffic spike, your e-store inventory expands, or your data volume quietly grew to the point that the space provided in your plan is no longer enough.
For these instances, AIT offers a Digital Emergency Kit to prevent service interruptions:
Data Transfer
When a customer exceeds their allotment, AIT typically charges $99 per 40GB of additional data transfer. This is the charge if you purchase the additional data transfer plans before you exceed your data transfer limit. If you have already exceeded your limit, AIT will charge customers based upon the fees set forth in the Billing Procedures page. You can realize
substantial savings by pre-purchasing extra bandwidth and there are four
packages for your convenience:

Disk Usage
When are you within 80% of your disk space
utilization, AIT will send you an e-mail notification at the address that is
posted to your control panel. Please be sure you have provided us with such an
e-mail address; otherwise, you risk not receiving this notification and
experiencing interruptions in service. Restoration of service may require the
purchase of additional disk space or the removal of data to bring web sites
under their allotment.
AIT offers additional disk space in increments of
5MB for 49-cents per MB. You can also pre-pay for 50MB blocks of additional
space for $19.95 per month.
Good resource management is a key reason why AIT can offer such competitive rates for hosting. Customers who exceed disk space and data transfer allotments not only impact on performance, they also raise the cost of doing business. AIT is not willing to underwrite abuse of its network; those who exceed their limits will be billed for the overages.
